Figure out what you want in a home (location, sqft, number of bedrooms and baths, etc.)
Be prepared to make sacrifices (it is very rare to get everything you want in your first home for example you may have to compromise on location for price.)
Have reasonable expectations (what you can afford will dictate the options of homes that are available. Don't be discouraged if you don't find something immediately.
6. CHOOSE A REALTOR.
Find a Realtor that works with First Time Home Buyers.
Interview the Realtor. See if you like him or her.
Look up the Realtor do some research. Maybe a friend or family member knows someone.
7. VISIT HOMES.
