My name is Bernd Heinz Stiller Jr. But everyone calls me Bernie…no relation to the actor/comedian Ben Stiller. Born of immigrant parents (father is German - mother is Ecuadorian) they met in the melting pot of the world…you guessed it New York. After living a few years in Brooklyn we later moved to Long Island then finally landing in Cape Coral, FL were I’ve been living off and on over 32 years. Being a first generation American I learned to speak German and Spanish. Needless to say, English was not my strongest subject in school. Nonetheless, I manged to graduate and attended University of Tampa later finishing at FGCU were I received a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. (Proud to say graduated Cum Laude) Afterwards, I obtained my HVAC contractor’s license and went into the family business (funny how sometimes you don’t work in the field of your chosen degree). Since I can remember I have always been in some shape or form in the air conditioning business. After running an A/C company for over 10 years, wearing many hats, I got burned out and needed a change and that’s when Abby introduced me to real estate. In case your curious, we met the old fashioned way… at a nightclub LOL. I was still working in air conditioning and Abby was already in real estate. I have to say she became my coach in real estate and my new boss…well she was always the boss LOL. We got married on January 31st, 2009 in St. Andrews Church and the rest as they say is history.
